Mary Lee's Corvette
Steve Butler and Mary Lee became acquainted as song-writing partners. Mary
Lee recorded some demos at "The Smash Palace" recording studio, with
Steve playing most of the backing instruments (except drums). These
recordings became the master recording for her album "Love,
Loss, and Lunacy". Smash Palace also played as Mary Lee's backing
band when they toured together in the UK in 2006.
Baldwin Drive
Joe Chiofalo is the mastermind behind Baldwin Drive. Joe and Steve
met while Joe was playing accordian for Mary Lee's Corvette. Steve
recorded and produced the Baldwin
Drive "Orange & Black" CD at "The Smash Palace" recording studio.
Many know Joe as "Joey Pajamas" from the Howard Stern show.
Fran Smith Jr.
Fran is most well-known as the bass player from the Hooters. Steve
Butler collaborated with Fran on his solo release "Man Meets Machine"
which features Steve on guitar.
Sara O'Brien Band
Sara's CD "Trampoline" was recorded at Steve's "Smash Palace" home
recording studio. It was done at a leisurely pace back in 2005
with many different musicians, in turn making for a very eclectic
recording.
Studio
Luloo
Sara O'Brien's community hot spot
with a yoga studio, music and art classes for kids of all ages, open
mike nights and live bands. A great place to sit back and unwind.
Mezzrow
Anthony Bezich started this CD as a solo project, recording songs with
Steve Butler at "The Smash Palace" recording studio. Halfway through
recording it, Anthony formed the band Mezzrow, and the rest of the
CD became a total band effort.
